| Just wanted to share some personal plans for the end of 2007 and 2008.
Next tuesday: a tour including Mont Saint Baudille and Cirque de Navacelles.
Other stages pendent in the area (maybe 2008): - a stage including Espinouse and Pic du Tantajo (2 BIG) - a stage including Pont du Gard and Guidon du Bouquet (1 BIG) - a stage including a visit to the viaduct of Millau, the climb to Causse Noir (end stage Tour 1990) and the climb of Mont Aigoual (1 BIG) - a stage including Pic du Nore from Mazamet (1 BIG)
Other plans: - 3 stages from Barcelona to Mont Ventoux, (including Mont Sant Clair and Ventoux) - a Tour in the Massif Central with possible stages: Millau-Mende (Rieisse, Faisses), Mende-Le Puy en Velay (Finiels, Pre de la Dame) Le Puy en Velay-Saint Flour (Chaisse Dieu) Saint Flour-Aurillac (Peyrol) Aurillac-Clermont Ferrand Final: Tour de Sancy climbing Puy de Dome 31/5/2008
Any better idea in the area?? Someone want to join???

| UP to now I don't exactly know here to cycle. I loved the cols of the Tour de France in the Alps and Pyrenees, the Giro, but after it ...?
THis summer I enjoyed the sea, so maybe places where the sea is not too far. Greece ? Montenegro again ? Mount Ventoux has to be visited, but it's not sure, that this year, but maybe in a few days long tour with other climbs. It seemes to be a good idea for example for a 9 day long tour: 1 week + weekends.
I would collect / listen to experiences of others. :-) Where to go ?

| Dear Gabór, the northern areas don't seem fine in first look, but !!!! My best souvenirs, visually, are in Norway. The fjords can't be forgotten. Something very strange too is the lake district in England and some places in UK : 200-300m over the sea, we're just like in high mountain. But all the BIG's place have some interest somewhere. I hope ... | |

| Finally, my wife has decided that we'll make Greece... together ... later ! In August, I'll be 50 years old. I must celebrate it. Perhaps a tour in central countries with Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech R. and Germany, but... perhaps, my children will decide that we'll make it... together...later | |

| In March I go for one week to Mallorca, would do the BIGs there. Then in april the amstel gold race, that contains several climbs that I hasn't done yet. The day after maybe the meeting. (260 km + a meeting in one day. will be hard). It will depend on my recovery July: some new BIGs in the Dolomites and perhaps some in the Alps. With Bruges Mont Ventoux we will pass also a BIG (except the Ventoux), (don't know the name at the moment). I will ask Roland to change the trip a little bit, or I will do it on my own (vive le GPS). Will do more BIGs that I've done already (Tour of flanders, Dolomitesmarathon, Marmotte) | |

| Madagascar seems nice to me. But I'll try my best in Europe again this year.
March: France, Bretagne for the 10 BIG's in that area. With Philip Hul, Hans Koedijker en Jean Pierre Notten.
May: Italy, Lago Maggiore, Verbania for a few Italian (and maby Swiss) BIG's. Mont Camoscio, Il Mottarone, Rossombolmo, Alpe Cheggio. With Hans. Someone any other sugestions/tips over there??
September: ?? Maybe one week with Philip and Hans somewhere in Europe.

| Since I am here again (posted something elsewhere too earlier): my plans for the year are: 1. 15-23 March I will be cycling around Corse/Corsica (have planned in over 90% of the asphalt passes, but am likely not to be able to do everything and am a bit worried I might have trouble finding lodging this early in the year). 2. big Alps tour again: June 25 - July 23, with the Maratona dles Dolomites on June 29th -- hope to complete visiting all paved pass roads throughout the Alps above 1700m (counting to 180 according to my list, but I only have a dozen left to do, but they are spread out). Hope to do some BIGs on this trip also, but I am not trying to collect as many BIGs as possible. /Jerry | |

| In the spring I will visit Pannonhalma, Misina (BIGs that i haven't visited yet, but they are in my country) + 2 ukranian BIGs too - I haven't cycled there. + in August with Daniel Sitno and 2 days before Dobogókő.
On a long weekend in May or June I would like to visit Mangart road (to 2072 m) and Hochsteinhütte (2025-30m) next to Lienz (another hard climb in Austria)
SUMMER: At this moment I know (sure) that this year I will visit Transylvania (9 days with 2 weekends): I will visit there a few BIGs, the only paved pass above 2000m in Romania. Beside this I'm sure that I 'll visit the Alps (max 16 days), but I don't know how many days I will spend there. I will visit a few BIGs in north Italy and Tirol (Kaunertal: 2750 m). This year I would like to reach the 100th cycling above 2000m. (Up to now I did ca. 95.)
It depends of my tour in the Alps if I will visit for a week or not Montenegro (to and back by airplane). Lovcen (1749 m) and in Croatia Sveti Jure are very beautiful climbs that I would like to climb in a short time and I like mixture of sea + mountains :-)

| Thanks :-)
But altogether I will be happy if I can make 85% real of them. I hope it. :-)
I will try to do each of them, maybe 1-2 days shorter or 1-2 mountains / sightseeings less per tour.
Gabor
PS: it would be nice to cycle in Flandern but this year other plans motivate me more. But because I'm interested in those cycling-historic climbs + places (Paris - Roubaix too) when I'll cycle there I would spend there a week and in a weather above 22-25 Celsius :-))
A friend of mine told me that this year he will participate in the Paris-Roubaix "marathon" - hat's interested me too, but this year I won't have time to it. My plans need enough time. THey are a lot; funny but I say: people don't have to want to fulfill everything in a year..... - although I have a lot of plan for this year. :-)
