Hello
In all of our 3 groups, 16 people have at last really participated. Sad
zhat not all are on the pictures. It was impossible to leave all together
our bikes, since the first group where about 1 hour earlier on the top
than the last one. is is important to mention that these one was me????
I had a Big "bad" day, on technical point of view. Flat tire just affter
BIG 1, and when we got to our "technical car" (Jerome, my Eldest was not
on bike, but made pictures and "Voiture de balai"), the exchange tire was
not for me... So I got back with the flat one, hoping that the air pumped
in would last longer. Due to that action, the gears started to strike...
A reparation of the flat was not made to win some time...
So, my planning was a little bad! Instead of coming all together in the
last climb, or on the last 6-10 kms, we (the slower) have been passed by
the fast before the first BIG, to name at about km 12... This explains why
we where not all on the top to celebrate together.
When you have a look at the pictures, you will see joyful people who where
lucky to be there. It seems that one was not coming to the ceremony??!! He
was the fastest (so I have been told) in the two first BIG's, and was
completely groggy in the final climb! And since he is living about here,
he probably continued directly to homeward. I'll try to contact him asap
to ask, and to apologize.
