Here is the map, see right !
The col is 1717m, the end of the road 1758m, and the peak (only MTB ?) is 2017m

Not this is not the Alps :-) It's the Balkan,
but it's interesting to hear the name (other mountain range: Albanian Alps - that's the name the mountains in Albania.

That link wasn't good, but at that site the good is:
http://www.kopaonik.net/eng/_html/mapa/mapaframe2.html

Thanks Jerry! :-)

Yes, it opened up better! :-) OK. (The Jaram pass is another one than the 1717m one you referred to on the same road I now noticed.) One day I guess I have to go over to the Albanian mountains too. As far as I understand they are asphalting many roads in Slovenia and other places in former Jugoslavia, hopefully the roads will become better even down toward Albania .... (at least I have heard they are usually in no good shape down there). I am a bit worried about explosive mines and such in places like Montenegro ... . Cheers, Jerry

I think MOntenegro is safe ! You don't have to worry! (I cycled there in 2003 and friands of mine in 2005)

Montenegro isa beautiful country.
Not sure, but maybe I cycle there ca 9 days this year.
Maybe.
2 days ago I saw a movie from a friand of mine about Albania. There are serious places with rough road in villages, but really roads often are rebuilt, asphalted. (Trains go at the speed of 35-40 km/h :-) )
It seemed that the nature is not so beautiful than in Montenegro.

This year I'm sure I'll visit Romania for a week and visit the Balea pass (over 2000 m) :-)

Gabor

If you though cycling in Bosnia, Serbia, that would more problems there with explosives under the ground. (tabes there about it along the road)

OK, I thought there would be not so much in Serbia as the war was more in Bosnia, Montenegro, anyway, we usually stick to roads! :-)
